We can do something NOW

50% of the world’s coral reefs have died in the last 30 years. We do not see this obliteration under the waves. It is ‘out of sight and out of mind’.

Many know little about coral reef disappearance, much less the cataclysmic repercussions on everything from global food sources to storm protection.

This series of artworks will bring the coral reef alive to those who live above the surface. “Sea the Coral” seeks to promote public awareness of reef destruction and coral bleaching caused by climate change, pollution, and ocean acidification.

This line of sculptural furniture was designed in an educational grant from the North Carolina Arts Council. Many thanks to the Craven Arts Council, Carteret Community College, North Carolina Furniture School, Rhino CAD, and Sandra Bell.
